How do I add downloaded desktop themes to my windows 98?

I cant get my downloaded desktop theme to add onto the existing themes on windows 98.. I cant save my new theme to the desktop theme folder

1. Hi dirty blonde, What a strange problem u having. If you can sucessfully download a theme, and it looks something like this: newtheme.mss Then just go to :C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes and drag the theme there. It should show up when you right click on your desktop now. If the theme is a application: newtheme.exe just run it and it should install in the proper places This can be a bit tricky, so if you need additinal help, just contact me.
