What are the main events and themes in To Kill A Mockingbird?

I know that the biggest event is the trial of Tom Robinson, and a minor one is the fire at Miss Maudie's house when Boo puts a blanket around Scout, but what are the others? I know that there is a theme of courage, and this is shown by Mrs Dubose, but how? And I know that there is a theme of learning lessons, and this is shown through Scout, and a theme of social class. What are the other major themes? Why is Mayella Ewell considered a mockingbird?
